Meet your Parish Councillors

Oliva Hunter – Councillor

I lived in the village for over 16 years and have been a counciller for 14 of them.

Dorian Orton – Councillor

I was born in Bedworth and have lived in and around Nuneaton all my life until 2010 when I and my partner Rebecca move to Astley. We both feel like we have fitted into village life and always look forward to any events that take place in the area, and so when I was told of a vacancy on the Parish council I had no hesitation to put my name forward and was duly elected, and will endeavour to support the other members of the committee in whatever way I can for the good of the Parish.

Michael Spicer – Chair

I moved here in June 2022, but have been visiting Astley for many years. Proud to serve as a Parish Councillor in such a beautiful place, very different to Oxford where I served before.

Jemma Vickers – Councillor

My husband and I Love living in Astley, we’ve been here since 2019. I became a councillor in 2022 to help make a difference to where I live and support the parish where I could.

Alongside the parish council, I am the Chair of the Board of Trustees for the local Sea Cadet Unit which I adore! But you’ll also find me supporting our beautiful church on heritage open days.

Simon Webber – Councillor

I moved to the village in 2021 and was very pleased to become a Councillor in 2023.  I hope to make a difference by supporting residents with any matters, and by helping to look after the local area ensuring it continues to be a great place to live.

Debra Spicer – Parish Clerk

I moved to Astley in 2022, and took over the role of Parish Clerk to support the beaufitul village that I live in.
